The notches in the hat help keep the sunglasses snug. When you bend over the sun glasses stay in place. This is nice when doing yard work.
Overall the best hat I have ever owned. It is the second one I have purchased. The other was just plain worn out from years of wearing it every day.

Comfortable out of the box, one of those thing you didnt know you need, until you have it. Almost thought it wasnt a good idea, but definitely makes a difference if u wear sunglasses alot
