I have the notchless version. This hat says it is in regs per the AFI. I would disagree because it is not coyote brown. I understand that coyote brown can be different in slightly shades but this is a dark brown. (AFI 5.1.10) I landed on this hat because I was looking for a more sturdy OCP hat that isn’t floppy like the Condor branded hat.
The Condor branded hat is very similar to this one but there are some differences.
The Velcro is definitely better on the Notch hat, it is definitely brown and not coyote brown. There is some extra stitching on the front of the hat compared to the Condor.
It’s almost the same hat. I can not justify spending the extra money on this hat instead of the condor. The construction is too similar. If you work in a place where you are likely to get called out for uniform items then don’t get it. Just buy the condor, it’s cheaper and actually coyote brown. I give it a 1 star because it is not coyote brown and it’s too similar to cheaper option out there. It is not a bad hat but those are my complaints.
